Internship (KIN 198) Packet

Free wordprocessor, spreadsheet, .. : The equivalent of Word, Excel and Powerpoint are available FREE. The software is called Lebre Office. All documents can be saved in multiple formats (including Word/Excel/powerpoint). So, no need to pay for basic software.

 

 

Internship - KIN 198 - Report (email to Dr. Shifflett by due date)

Cover Page: Report Title; Your Name; Semester of Internship; Site of Internship; Site Supervisor’s Name and email address.

Introduction (1 page): provide a brief description of the company/agency where you interned. Also, provide a summary of the services/programs provided by your company/agency.

Reflection/Analysis (3-4 pages): This section conveys your reflections at the conclusion of the internship. Viewed from a holistic perspective it should answer the question ‘so what’? In what ways did you, your site, and the people you worked with benefit from your internship experiences? What did you learn? What was the impact on you? In addition, this is where you convey achievements with respect to each of the learning outcomes identified at the start of the internship and in what ways you were able to connect theory with practice.

Appendix: Weekly Journal. A weekly summary of activities, experiences, and hours worked.

Independent Study - KIN 180 - Report (email to Dr. Shifflett by due date)

Cover Page: Project Title; Your Name; Semester of Project; If working with an outside agency: Site of agency and Site Supervisor’s Name and email address.

Independent Study - KIN 184 - Web-based Research Reports - submit throughout the semester via email. Last one in by semester due date for the independent studey overall.

For each report

1st page: Your Name; Name of article found on the web; URL to article found on the web; Main points of mis-information in the article

Body of paper (APA Format)

Explain why points made in web article incorrect
Provide information from research/journals that refutes mis-information
Wrap up with a summary statement

Reference page (in APA Format)

Appendix: Text of what you will post to the web as comment in response to article
